Curriculum planning
Our curriculum is carefully structured based on the kindergarten curriculum guides issued by the Hong Kong Education Bureau, the Early Years Foundation Stage of the British Curriculum and the kidsDNA Education System. We help children to be open-minded and reflective learners who will are eager to discover the world with the essence of Chinese and Western cultures today and in the future.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
Our child-centered curriculum takes into consideration the needs of children. Play-based activities and tie-to-real-life activities are integrated across all learning areas. Children learn three languages (Cantonese, Putonghua and English) with an immersion approach everyday. Our teachers, including native English speakers and native Putonghua speakers, work closely together and guide children to pick up the languages via structured lessons and activities conducted class-wide as well as in small groups.
Fun learning activities e.g. role-play, Show & Tell, arts and crafts activities, singing and dancing, etc. are also carried out by our professional and dedicated teaching team in order to ensure children enjoy learning and help them apply the learning into their daily life.
Our curriculum instills the habit of reading:
A Share-reading Programme is specially designed for the purpose of developing our children’s essential reading and literacy skills to nurture them to become young readers and then turn into life-long learners. Our curriculum also develops good behavior in our children.“BabyDNA” makes use of scientific methods to provide children with a balanced development and the life-wide learning environment to promote children’s proficiency.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
Portfolios and detailed observations will be produced and recorded for students in each term.
