Curriculum planning
Based on the Education Bureau's "Guide to Pre-primary Curriculum" (2017), the curriculum is designed with a focus on the spiral and integrated story-based teaching approach, supplemented by game activity. Activities are arranged to cater to children's learning interests, abilities, and individual differences, aiming to cultivate their ability to learn, enhance knowledge, skills, values, and positive attitudes.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
A child-centred curriculum that adopts a story-based approach and incorporates specially game activities is implemented to guide children in learning through personal experiences gained from observations, discussions, explorations, and practical applications. Stories, music, games, and nursery rhymes are utilized to reinforce the acquired knowledge. Through various activities, including visits, trips, birthday parties, snack tasting, festive celebrations, and group learning, children develop multiple intelligences such as language, mathematical logic, body movement, visual space, self-reflection and interpersonal relationships, thereby achieving holistic development.
