Curriculum planning
We implement a balanced, integrated and spiral curriculum by incorporating diversified and inspiring stories and project work to enhance teaching and learning.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
Our child-centred curriculum adopts the activity approach, the project approach, the whole language approach, incorporating diversified, systematic and inspiring games and activities. We implement a balanced, integrated curriculum according to children's varied levels of maturity and personalities. We emphasize children's self-learning initiative. We continuously develop our school-based curriculum to respond to children's different needs more systemically and comprehensively, such as strengthening children's gross muscles. Beside, the quality English curriculum is implemented to raise children's interest in English and improve their reading skills through different strategies and activities.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
Through continuous observation, activities and portfolio analysis, we assess children's development and learning in the areas of cognition, language, social skills, emotion and physical fitness, etc.
