Curriculum planning
Design a child-centered curriculum based on children's development. The learning content combines life experiences and children's interests to conduct diversified activities, such as inquiry-based science, drama, Orff music, affective education, and creative art, to nurture holistic development. Provide sensory learning, encourage exploration, enhance children's information processing and problem-solving abilities, and regularly review the appropriateness of the curriculum.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
Teach in an open environment that encourages hands-on exploration and fosters creativity. Facilitate children's engagement in community activities outside the classroom, such as visits and outings. Incorporate active learning methods, project-based learning, and individual/small group activities in the classroom. Integrate music activities based on the Orff music theory, have Native English-speaking foreign teachers instruct in English, and offer additional activities like uniformed groups and interest classes.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
Establish a comprehensive child portfolio to track children's learning progress across various domains, enabling continuous assessment and summarization of their performance and development.
