Curriculum planning
Our Little Dalton program is designed to foster well-rounded individuals who in addition to being academically successful, possess strong values, resilience, and a sense of community. By positioning students as active participants in their own learning and utilising a curriculum which encourages children to take responsibility for their learning, we provide an exciting and nurturing learning community for children and families.
We tailor our curriculum to meet each child’s individual needs, interests and abilities so that they get the most out of every learning opportunity. Our curriculum engages students in a wide range of activities focused around the fundamental areas and learning goals of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, ensuring holistic child development.
Students are presented with opportunities to make choices about their learning and play. At the same time they develop essential life skills, discover how to identify their interests and take responsibility for pursuing them.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
Guided by our Dalton Plan and our promotion of Chinese values, our students are positioned to see their similarities and differences as opportunities to learn and connect, and the process of inquiry in classrooms provides opportunities for students to learn and grow through play and exploration.
Ensure your child is afforded the opportunity to explore their interests, take ownership of their learning and develop a multitude of skill sets in our nurturing and progressive learning community.
